House and techno lovers in Maastricht, rejoice! On November 18th two adepts of Brooklyn’s The Corner label are touching down in our beloved city, not to be missed. Honcho Anthony Parasole and Tom Dicicco, the turntable wizard from the UK, are some real heavy hitters.
A bunch of our stories start, and end, with Berghain in Berlin. During Anthony’s curated ‘The Corner/Deconstruct’ label night at Berlin’s highly anticipated techno institute we ran into a couple of surprises. The first one was DJ Qu, who brought the house down at Linke Soto back in 2015, another one was Tom Dicicco. The DJ and producer from the UK played a mind-blowing set, setting the dark space of the former powerhouse into flames. It felt almost that the likes of Phil Moffa and Levon Vincent didn’t have a chance anymore, after hearing this guy play.
This staple of the New York nightlife has been a favourite of our’s for years now and back in 2015 he showed you, our beloved crowd, why he’s among one of the best DJs on the planet. Three deck mixing fierce house and funky techno, this man showed that he honed his skills perfectly. He sky-rocketed even further ever since, releasing an album on Dekmantel and a belter on his own Deconstruct label, so it got a little bit harder to have this big guy back in Maastricht.
Perhaps his name doesn’t ring a bell yet, but you’ll have a hard time not to remember him after November 18th. Releasing on The Corner, but also on Amsterdam’s Delsin and Jonas Kopp’s Traut Muzik along with his own labels Run Out Run and Inner Surface Music, he has been pushing the envelope for quite some time now. Next to that he’s an amazing DJ, and that’s what excites us the most.
The tickets for November 18th are available via our website and will set you back only €12,50 (or €10, if you buy a group tickets with 4 friends). Support comes from our own crew in the form of Dayak and Roy Habets. That’s not too bad for a proper night like this, isn’t it?
